I am seldom so taken with a book that even months after I finish I keep going back to read parts of it. So it was the THE TERMINAL LIST and TRUE BELIEVER and now with Jack Carr’s third book, SAVAGE SON.

Former U.S. Navy SEAL Jack Carr led special operations teams as a Team Leader, Platoon Commander, Troop Commander and Task Unit Commander. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper, to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, to a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, to commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. Forces.

He came out of the shadows after many years in the special operations community to release his debut novel “The Terminal List,” which features fictional former Navy SEAL James Reece going on the warpath after his family is murdered to help cover up a deeper conspiracy. The book was a fan favorite, and even No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor said that it was “absolutely awesome! […]  rarely do you read a debut novel this damn good.”

Coming off those rave reviews for his first two books–THE TERMINAL LIST and TRUE BELIEVER– Carr has just released the third book in his Reece series, SAVAGE SON. Rarely have I read a book so powerful in my life. It grabs you by the throat from the first word and never lets go until the last page. And maybe not even then, because James Reece’s mission is far from over and I personally cannot wait for Book 4.

SAVAGE SON

Deep in the wilds of Siberia, a woman is on the run, pursued by a man harboring secrets—a man intent on killing her.

A traitorous CIA officer has found refuge with the Russian mafia with designs on ensuring a certain former Navy SEAL sniper is put in the ground.

Half a world away, James Reece isrecovering from brain surgery in the Montana wilderness, slowly putting his life back together with the help of investigative journalist Katie Buranek and his longtime friend and SEAL teammate Raife Hastings. Unbeknownst to them, the Russian mafia has set their sights on Reece in a deadly game of cat and mouse.
In his most visceral and heart-pounding thriller yet, Jack Carr explores the darkest instincts of humanity through the eyes of a man who has seen both the best and the worst of it.
