Writing BDSM and Poly Erotic Romance

This is the third book in the Badass Brats series written by me (Leia), Sorcha Black, and Cari Silverwood. You might think that’s an odd name for a series but let me explain it.
Bratting is a sort of controversial activity in the BDSM world. Some people hate bratting, some love the challenge and think brats are funny. As I’m sure you’ve figured out, our books contain a broad range of bratting. Now this doesn’t mean our subs are disrespectful, immature, or attention whores. This means they like to have fun. They have a sense of humor and use it to get their Doms to loosen up and have fun too.

We believe sex should be fun. There’s a time and a place for serious Domination and submission. And we include those in our books. But our goal is to show the lighter side of BDSM that isn’t often written about in BDSM erotic books.

The second unique part of our books is that it includes a polyamorous relationship. The first three books contain M/f/f or M/F/f, but that might change for the next book in the series. We started with two girls and a guy because we realized it was a situation that rarely gets explored in romance, outside of the occasional temporary threesome, and also because it’s what one of the members of our writing team had experience with. All of the characters in our books fall in love with each other. There’s no fantasy one night stand set up by the main two characters. The third is never the add-on or temporary fling. All three people are equally important to the relationship, which always ends in a serious commitment. We find that in books, and in real life, this works the best when it comes to ménage.
